We built the barrel of this bat with CompCore Technology, pulling together cutting-edge elements of alloy and composite barrel design. To create the CompCore barrel, the ringless R5 alloy of the Encore Hybrid is thinned out by about 30% and then reinforced with Thermo Composite Technology across the length of the hitting surface. This creates an ultra-thin barrel wall, bigger sweet spot, and maximum “trampoline effect” upon contact. The PureLynk CXN joint connects the handle directly to the barrel, maximizing the energy transfer and stiff feel of the Pro-Stiff carbon handle.

On the inside of the barrel wall, Easton will also employ their Flywall Barrel Design that won’t make use of any rings to govern the performance. Instead, they will vary the thickness of the barrel walls and by doing so, they will get the bat to perform within the required limits of the USSSA standards & also allow for great performance along a very large portion of the bat’s barrel surface. The combination of these two barrel features will deliver a premium-sounding “ping” on contact and is bound to build the confidence of any hitter that takes the Alpha ALX to the plate!
