Pitching – Increasing Speed

To get your pitchers to throw faster they’ve got to get their hand moving faster at release. A good way to help make this happen is to ask your pitcher to move her hand faster in the follow-through. This will not only help increase her hand speed at release but will also help her control as her hand will carry out farther forward before going up – which will result in the ball going out farther forward before it goes up! Try it and see what happens with your pitcher.
